I don't know if I have done it right this time if not I will have to read a bit more information. Sorry if it is not right.
Joan
I have used it, I think it was just a gimmick, they said it was quicker, but click for click it isn't and I prefer Modify >> Subtract.
Looks like it worked for you Joan but it never did for me
I don't have the screen shots from my cutter findings any more, but these were my written findings that I sent to GAS with the screen shots.
1) everything disappeared
2) the parts outside the cutter disappeared (not OK)
3) everything outside the cutter shape disappeared leaving me with a section that had only line colour that I could not fill (not OK if I want to print and cut),
4) I got a nice piece cut out complete with the fill and everything outside the cutter disappeared (that’s OK)
3) nothing seemed to have happened, but when I clicked on the cutter shape I could drag it away leaving a hole in the lattice.
Here is a screen shot showing what you get for the same number of clicks using Subtract or Divide, I have also written a tutorial for this in the Studio folder, I hope the screen shot makes sense if it doesn't please just ask.

Joan the screen shot you have shown, you are making work for yourself you don't need to use the cutter, you can just fill the shape like I did here
Lucille I have had a good play and for now I am sticking with my cookie cutter version unless they come up with something I really want to have. I know you don't need the cookie cutter to fill shapes but it depends what result you want.
I have not finished playing yet so I might agree with you after i've played with it more but I definately get different results as you can see from my imageAttachment 147037
Joan
You don't have to agree with me as I don't have to agree with you :D each to there own.
Selected points now react to the arrowkeys on your keybord!
Wether you select 1 or more points at once you can move them more precise vertically or horizontaly. In the previous version you had to move them by mouse.
Thank you, I've been working my way through the tutorials checking if there are any less obvious changes, I might have missed that one.
Joan, while checking the tutorials today for updating, I suddenly realised it isn't the Subtract function, I use it is the Intersect option I prefer to use
