I was wondering if you could do complete embossing all over a piece of card or paper and use it or die cut it.

Don't see why not Susannah - worth a try anyway !!
Shirley Ann,
Both cards are so very pretty. Thank you for sharing.
I am enjoying reading all comments about the Curio. I am waiting until they come out with the larger 8-1/2 x 11 format machine - and wonder what name they will give it.
Shirley Anne those baubles look fantastic!
I've previously done debossing using mirri card with my Cameo and this worked very well as it has some "give" to it. So worth trying on the Curio too.
Create & Craft have cotton card for letter pressing & it'sa made by We R Memory Keepers, so it may also be stocked by our sponsors too?
Rosemary
Thanks Rosemary, I think I have some Mirri card so will search it out. Haven't been able to find cotton card but am pretty happy with the results I'm getting and it embosses vellum beautifully.
I am not as skilled a crafter as you others but I have just successfully followed Brian's tutorial for the bookmark and am now looking forward to making a project of my own.
Well done PinkPig I would like to see what you've done too. I'm waiting for some new card as I haven't found anything among my mountain that embosses/debosses very well....yet
I have used the Centura Pearl for testing my first own project. It is an anniversary card for some friends but needs to go back to the drawing board as it is too plain. I embossed the heart and the text I used. Tomorrow I am going to use metallic pens to write the text and also outline the edge of the heart then emboss the intricate design of the inside of the heart - it's just one I had in my library. I used the thicker of the two embossing tools and was pleased with the embossing.
Having just got back to work after a week off, my new assignment is to master marquetry using a Curio. We have had a lot of enquires about if the Curio could be used for this type of thing, as it is a flatbed cutter rather than a roll cutter it is more suited to this type of thing than previous Silhouettes, so this is my new thing to work on. I'm still working everything out but it is getting there, so I thought I'd share a couple of photos of things created so far. These were cut from 0.6mm wood veneer using 2 blades: first blade set to 1 and is used for plotting out the initial shape and then blade 2, set to 3-4, then goes around and does the cutting, both blades set to double cut. I'm quite excited to see what I can do with this.

I've just ordered a load more veneer to create some samples and I'll be sure to share them once I've done a few more designs.
They look fabulous Brian thank you for showing us
Thanks Brian, think this is really versatile little machine.
