Thanks to all who helped -- Medallion Diwali card now complete
Just need to wait for last couple of spots of glittering (and the silicon glue used for layering) to dry -- then I can pop it through next doors letterbox
(I normally use sticky pads for decoupage, but figured I'd probably be better off using silicon for this so that I could be certain I lined everything up properly.)
The card is a white 13.5cm square, and I covered the front with a sparkly red textured paper. I then cut a circle from pearlised white card to place behind the medallion, and inked the edges of the card proper with red (to hide paper edges) and circle with a golden yellow.
The glittered bits aren't quite as good as I'd like them to be in one or two places, but hey! it is my first attempt -- so I'm actually quite chuffed with it.
The insert has a greeting kindly provided by Shilpa (purpleplanet), which has also been printed in red :) Just need to find a red pen that works to actually sign the card now ;)
