help...Ive got a little tin..

its a small tin with a lid that has blank round beer mat looking things in it!!!!
Its got a post but i just dont know where to start.Can anyone help.
How do i decorate this.What glue do i use? How do i put a hole in beermats for the post ? If i put paper on it how can i make it stronger?

Theres a single hole punch you can get from staples which is quite tough to do single holes. For tins I use double sided tape like this here

You shouldnt need to seal it, but if you do I use pva watered down.
