EDIT: Zipped Mini Calendar Print and Cuts in neutral

Hi all, I've seen some spectacular designs with those neat little mini calendars so I spent the afternoon learning how to do print and cut. Here is the result!

LOVE THEM! They cut fine on my machine. Let me know if you have any problems.

Created by hand in Illustrator, saved as a gsd in RoboMaster version 4.1

EDIT: I zipped the files and now they are small enough to be uploaded! Yay!

    chinese lantern

Just something i whipped up quick,I tried using perf edges to fold 2 places but it seemed to break after bending. So i showed where to bend then when glued
you need to force the middle outwards and compress it to get the desired effect,Picture included.

    Robo shoe box strengtheners

This my 1st attempt at both creating and uploading so please be patient if it all goes pear shaped.

I downloaded the cute shoe box template from the robo maga store but even with thick cardstock it felt a bit flimsy, so I made some side and base pieces to make it a bit stronger and thought I would share them just in case anyone might find them useful and to give something back as everyone has been so kind and helpful.

Basically they are are just rectangles cut from the same card to match the inside of the box and would be stuck onto the folded flaps (which make the sides of the box or lid) and also to the base inside the box and the lid, to create a double layer of card for added strength and rigidity. I hope this explains enough, but any questions feel free to give me a shout. I will post pics if I make another one but for now screen shot of SS. The blue and green is the actual box lid template and the black ones are the pieces you would stick to the finished interior sides and base of the lid.

sorry no screen shot today PDF convertor refusing to play

    thanks

    Lisa

    £££ Ribbon keeper £££

Finally got round to making some of the template suggestion I have recieved in between trying to get all the files for my new cd..

But here is the first one - it is a versatile ribbon tidy or storage tray

I have used a wooden skewer to hang the ribbon spools on so you can mix different size spools easily

Lovely as a gift for a crafter you could give it empty or fill it with some lovely ribbons to make it extra special

It is available HERE and is also in my 25% off sale

    thanks as always for looking

Arrow Updated A4 size cutting area for Inkscape

This is a really exciting file and screen shot we do have a file but it's for letter size and the A4 I uploaded recently has been deleted.

I've updated the cutting area for Inkscape in this version. It is now on a layer of it's own and it's locked so when you select all or use the rubber band method to select all you don't keep selecting the cutting are as well don't know why I didn't think to do this the first time.

You can set this to be your default document that opens when you open the program, by opening this document then Save As and call it default. Navigate to your Inkscape folder in the Program folder and then sub folder Share then sub sub folder Templates.

When you click the save button Inkscape will ask if you want to overwrite the default file say yes and it's done.

The advantage of adding this to the template folder is you can't accidentally overwrite it when working.

    Ribbon Reel

I like most of my ribbon to be on reels - mainly because I can't be bothered to get out the hair straighteners whenever I want to use a bit. I found the empty reels really hard to get hold of, as the sort my nearest haberdashery was willing to let me have when they were empty were always far too big.
I decided to start making my own & as a few friends have asked me to make some for them as well, I thought I'd share the template on here in case anyone wanted to make use of it.
I've found through trial & error that acetate works best as the central spindle to wrap the ribbon around - it holds its shape much better than card.
I've addded 1 file with all of the pieces on it, but when I use it I have them on 3 separate pages: 1 for acetate centres, 1 for circle & 1 for optional outer smaller hole circle (which neatens things up), that way I can use a whole sheet at a time.
In the 1st picture I've used card for the "teeth" folding to show what I mean, as the acetate didn't show up.

    Custom Carrier Sheet

Thank you for your kind comments.

I didn't attach a file because I thought you would want to do one to suit yourselves but you are very welcome to have the one I use.

Draw some rectangles in sizes of paper you commonly use use different colours so that you can overlap them and some small ones for scraps. In line style increase the line thickness to 2pt. In cut style set all the shapes to NO CUT.
Save the file as "my carrier".
Print out the file on 200g card and laminate the card.
Mask the edges of the laminated card and spray the printed side with re-positionable adhesive.
When you need to cut a flower out of a two inch scrap of card you can open the file in Studio position your flower pattern into the two inch square, on your carrier sheet you put your paper on the two inch square.
You must use the search registration marks.
Remember not to save changes to your carrier file.

PS by Lucille - if you are using RoboMaster you can use the Set Origin option for precision cutting, see RM tutorial folder.
