Hooray Sky, I am glad it has finally arrived!

I have sold my QK alphas, infact someone from the board is popping round any minute now to collect one of them, my mum bought 1 and I have 1 left - I didn't get a huge amount for them (£50 each), but when all 3 have gone that is over half the cost of the Cricut!! i have decided to keep the handset and dies as I only have 'practical' dies such as photo corners and framed tags etc and I do think I will use them quite often, plus there are currently loads of QK handsets for sale on the market place and they are not selling and not making much money, therefore I feel I may as well keep it as give it away!

    i have a question!
what setting do you all have the dails on??
i was cutting some thicker card with ds last night and we put the pressure one on 5 (!) i now have a lovely 'm' cut into my mat!!!
also, how long does your mats stickyness last,i don't think mine is going to last as long as it says in the book!!!!

Sky, I have the pressure set at 5 as I nearly always use it to cut CS,and yes my mat has got quite a few marks on it,but it doesn't affect it's performance. I got mine about a month ago and am on my 2nd mat the first still has some life in it, I use it for the few occassions that I cut paper rather than CS as I found that the new mat was too sticky for paper. If you look on the Cricut message board there are several tips and suggestions for extending the life of the mats, I think someone on here has already posted to say they have used repo spray adhesive

whats your blade set at then,if your pressure is at 5!!! maybe it's the blade thats not right!! and what about the speed,is it better to let it take it's time or better to speed it up?!

I've also got the blade set at 5 but have got the speed set at 1, I think it's just a bit of trial and error until you find the exact settings for your machine

it does mark the mat, but that doesn't seem to make any difference to the stickyness (if that is a word )

I usually cut a small circle before doing my actual cutting to make sure it is set up OK, but I think it is a bit of trial and error!

I'm doing last minute extra pressies for kids - names for their bedroom doors. Been using 1/2 sheets of plain CS for base, PP in a George shadow (comes out larger) font and then regular George in a plain toning colour on top. IYKWIM? Looks really smart. Will eventually upload but no time now, sorry.

    still love it.

Saturday night I was trying the 2 different flower shapes but using the key facility, so you could have charm attached, shadow, silhouette etc. The flowers loved fab and really different from one another (IFYKWIM). Really happy with the George cartridge but would love to get more.

I like the look of the mini monograms one too so cant wait to hear what you think of it and see your lo's.
