new girl
hi,have just joined forum so hope you will be gentle with me! my name is angela but prefer angie as the only people that use my full name is my husband and mum usually when they are cross with me. i live in huddersfield (someone has to) and i work full time in the local hospital, off sick at the moment due to the fact i decided to build a bookcase on friday and managed to tear the muscles in my chest, spent the whole of sunday in A&E. anyway i have been making cards for a while and a friend asked me to do a scrapbook for her mums birthday as a surprise, i had never done one but gave it a go, it turned out really nice and everyone that saw it cried, do they always have this effect on people? so i presumed i had done a good job. the only problem was that i did a layout of her late husband when he was young but it turned out it was a photo of the local fishmonger not her husband, god did she laugh!
she was so touched with the scrapbook she bought me flowers. have been collecting scrapbooks and bits and bats to start my own, well i lie have probably enough stuff to fill a small country so i need to start soon. so if any of you have any good tips i am all ears. thanks all, luv angie xxx

Put 'eat chocolate' on the top of your list of things to do. That way you always get 1 thing done!
Hi Angela!
Welcome to UKS...and to the card making forum. The girls on the card threads are lovely, and very helpful as I found out when I joined up! In fact, everyone I have bumped into is so nice, it won't be long until you're whizzing through the boards like a pro!
By the way...looks like we're 'neighbours'...I live in Wakefield!
Keep posting, and like Willows Mum says - show up what you've got and hope we can learn from you too!
