when I do it I cover the end of the ribbon inside the card with a little white sticker and then cut the insert so it covers most of it. If not, could you perhaps cut a little slit and slip the ribbon through it and then cover it with the insert?
    Take care,

I agree, inserts are great for hiding a multitude of sins.

JUST TAKE THE RIBBON TO JUST UNDER THE FULL LENGTH YOU WANT IT AND FINISH OFF WITH EYELETS OR BRADS , OR IF IT MUST GO OVER THE EDGES , COVER IT WITH A FLOWER EMBELLIE OR similar , sorry caps lock on in error

or as said add an insert

I tend to use Xyron and cut it flush with the end of the card, doesn't seem to fray except on a very few, occasionally I rub a little glue or DG along the cut end. It always seems a bit bulky if I take it over onto the inside. Even if I use brads I tend to stick the ends down or they 'rub' up and crease IYKWIM.

I'm with Eileen. I cut it a bit longer than I need, Xyron it and stick it flush with the card and trim the excess. I'd be lost without my Xyron lol.

a littel bit of clear nail varnish on the end also helps with fraying edges

I use DST and then cut my ribbon at the edge - in most cases it doesn't fray but its always worth testing a little first.

if you dont want to make an insert, you could always make a topper and hide the ribbon ends behind that..

i also use DST and go as close to edge with it as i can, then trim with v sharp scissors..only time it frayed i had used blunted scissors...
