Gift card
Need to do a gift card to give money in, for someone leaving our office on maternity leave (we already have a large card everyone's signed), and need a bit of inspiration. Anyone done anything like this?
Thanks

I have made a money card before but not for someone going on maternity. I'll post a piccie anyway, you never know it may help to get some ideas flowing.

That's useful, thanks. Not bothered about it being event-specific really.

I NEED a bigger house - my stash is taking over!
I did one for my nephew's birthday - took a piece of A4 and tri folded it. Cut the last third in half horizontally at a slight angle and then stuck it down with DST to make a pocket and decorated the front for him. Unfortunately I don't have a pic

I have made two gift cards, although I cannot seem to find them at the moment (in the middle of moving). First, you create a card with a nice patterned paper on the front. Create an envelope that a gift card can fit in (to match the patterned paper) and glue it to the front. Another idea with this card is to glue the gift card envelope to in the inside and decorate the outside for the occasion. A second card that I have done was covering the front with patterned paper again, but make a pocket on the front to slide a part of the gift card in so it sticks out. In this case, you would over the top part of the card (most of it or even the whole card), then take a smaller piece and glue it at the bottom, but just glue the sides and bottom of the paper (to make the pocket).
I wish that I had some examples to scan or take photos and show you, but unfortunately they are all packed as I move in a week and a half. If you need a better explanation, just let me know.

Went for a straightforward card in the end, and made a pocket on the inside using the same pp. It's in my gallery here.
Inspired by this card by Clare33 - thank you!
