How about covering a tin and then filling it with matching cards for them to use during the year.
    Also clipboards etc

    Great thread idea!

The usual altered address books/diaries spring to mind firstly.

Asda do little A6 files with index cards and dividers in it. I altered one for a friend's birthday recently and it was lovely - its on my blog if anyone wants a peek.

    Cookie Gift Bag

    Instructions:

Place a gingerbread man cookie cutter in a bag
Put some sugar sprinkles in a small ziplock bag and put in the main bag with the cutter. Attach a card with the following recipe and poem.

    Poem:

I made a plate of cookies to share with you this year
I thought it was a good way to spread some Christmas cheer
They all looked really tasty, so I thought I'd eat just one
And a little while later, I noticed there were none.
    So here's my Christmas greeting,
    And a cookie cutter too,
Now you can make your own cookies,
    And maybe share a few.

    Recipe:
    1 cup sugar
    ½ tsp. salt
    2 egg yolks
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp.cream
    1 ½ cup flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter, add sugar slowly and cream until fluffy. Stir in well-beaten egg yolks & vanilla extract. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with cream. Chill for 1 hour, roll and cut with cookie cutters. Preheat oven to 350. Place cookies on greased cookie sheet about 2" apart and bake 10 - 12 minutes or until cookies begin to brown.

    FROSTING RECIPE:
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 Tbsp butter, room temperature
    1-2 tsp. milk
Add all ingredients in small bowl. Mix well.

    Decorate as wanted.

I absolutely love this idea ..............

    Wisk Gift

    1. Take a large wisk and fill it with little chocolates.
    2. Wrap it all in cellophone and tie with fancy ribbon.
    3. Make a cute little holiday gift tag that says:

"We WISK you a Merry Christmas".

This one is hilarious and really suited for someone with a sense of humour !

Buy two AA batteries, place them in a beautifully decorated box with a note saying "Gift not included"

    Lost your Marbles ?

Place 1 marble in a small plastic bag just a little bigger than a business card.
Type the poem below on a piece of card the size of a business card, and decorate.

    Poem:

Sometimes it seems we lose our way and life becomes so blue.
You think you've lost your "marbles" and others suspect it's true.
But in spite of all the odds my friend,
    life can be wonderful too.
Just remember, that no matter what,
    I'm always here for you.
    So when you think you've lost them all;
pull out my gift to you.
It may be small, and only one
but you haven't lost them all!!!

The last couple of ideas on craft weekly have been notelet holders

I made one for my friends birthday and just made some simple notelets by putting the front in the cuttlebug embossing folder.
