We have santa dust sprinkled after he visits for the kids in the morning. I also known people to sprinkle talc down as snow and put the boot print into it

Last year for teacher's gifts we gave cookie mixes in a jar. I bought small kilner jars and layered the ingredients, the recipe was from allrecipes.com I bought a cup measure from Asda instead of converting the recipes (much easier to use). The boys decorated one side of a tag, with the instructions on the back, they also decorated the jars with glass painting pens
This year for grandparents I want to have a go at decorated candles where you print a photo onto tissue paper and use a heat gun to heat fix to the candle. I've already got the candles from Ikea!

Bronagh's instructions . . .Printing On Tissue paper..........
Just tape a piece onto your normal paper and run it thru your printer.. just make sure it is well taped down, and has no creases in it, or else the ink will miss the creases and the wax will then flatten the creases leaving white streaks

Here's the start of Bronagh's comments re. her uploaded pic :
It's a candle.. It is simply a photo printed onto tissue paper, and melted into the wax using a heat gun. once the wax melts thru it, the pic becomes transparent and embedded in the wax.
I've not done one but presumably you just heat gently with the gun until the wax melts in a layer through the tissue paper and then stop and let it reset.

I'm wondering what my printer will say if I tried to print on tissue paper.... probably..... errrrr clunk! Anyone ever printed on tissue paper? Doesn't it get all torn and scrunched up? (I can now see me making a very shabby chic candle, tissue paper scrunched, ink bleeding, singed and the wax melted on one side cos I held the heat gun on one spot too long) !!
