We do small paper bags of snowman poop, which is white maltesers... and small paper bags of reindeer poop, which is chocolate covered raisins or almonds.
always goes down well as a table favour.

Brilliant thread, great ideas. The battery one will be done here too!

Not funny or quirky but fun anyway - ma couldn't afford cake and crackers at Christmas so she got enough little gifts for the people present (a bar of choc, stuff like that) wrapped the little gifts and tied each with a long length of ribbon. The gifts were placed in a cake or sweetie tin that she'd decorated with a paper frill that goes round a cake, the 'tails' of the ribbon were left to hang outside the tin and the top was a Christmassy paper napkin so the whole thing resembled a Christmas cake. Everybody grabbed a length of ribbon and on the count of 3 pulled so the gifts exploded out. Sounds tame but we kids loved it.

This site gives instructions on how to do photo transfer onto a plain bauble to make it an "heirloom Christmas ornament" ... I don't know if "Magic Bubble" is necessarily required... any of the gel medium stuff that people use for altered art would probably work

We are on a budget christmas so these ideas are just fab! I made mini christmas cakes for my family last year...you know the steamed sponged pudding tins? Just cut the top off (not both ends as it asks for eating the pudding inside!) and use them - they don't take long to cook and get the kids to decorate if you don't have the knack yourself

These are all great ladies- especially Cal.

I did some of these a couple of years ago for a fete I did a stall at.

Put a hot chocolate sachet, a mint candy cane and some mini marshmallows in a bag and then fasten with a snowman tag, I cant remember the verse I had on mine but there are several here http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/ch...wman-soup.html
