    cant weld my shapes

    hi when I try to weld my shapes it wont do it thee nodes just stop on one shape any ideas spent ages trying to sort it out to no avail

    Are you sure that ALL your shapes are selected - try edit >select all and see if that helps.

    Are you using DM? Everyone is going to need to specify if they are talking about DM or Inkscape or some other vector program now!

    thanks will hav e to try that on monday busy tommorrow seing to my mum and am dropp9ng asleep now been up since 5/30

    Three rules about using the weld tool:

    (1) The items must be the same color

    (2) The items must be closed objects. To verify, make sure View>Show Fill is turned on. If the objects are filled with color, they are closed. If you see dashed lines, they are not.

    (3) If you have one object inside the other and you're trying to overlap to weld, that won't work. However, I will type up in the user manual how to do that. I just found out today from another DM member how to get around the XOR weld missing from DM!
