Paracetamol, pens/pencils, mars bar, whiskey!, plasters, foot soak, spare tie for craft days when the paint gets on it, ice scraper for car in mornings, torch to get to car at night.

And a large cotton hanky or pack of paper tissues for the inevitable playground/classroom/squabbles over who's who in the Nativity play!

ooh bookmarking as DD's teacher is male and I always get stuck or male presents

Blu-tac - we can never find any in our school, pens (one red, one black for the register), batteries, plasters, a stress ball...
