"Life is so much better with a dog"
rubbish scan pics??
hi, don't know if anyone can help me on this one,
i am scanning old 70's photos of me into my computer, they look fine on the screen but when i print them off, they seem to be quite pinky tinted???
i'm not very good with techie stuff anyway, but would love to get better photos, am i best to just get them all copied properly at 'large nationwide chemist'??! any advice would be appreciated x
i also forgot to mention that DH has put a photo ink cartridge in the printer, instead of a normal colour cartridge, don't know if thats relevent??

Did you get them all printed at the same place? It could be the machine needs calibrating, or whatever they call it. I had a load printed at Asda a couple of years ago that came out with a pink tinge, I took the disc to another shop and had one printed, that came out fine so I took all the photo's and the *correct colour* one back to Asda to show them and they reprinted them free of charge, after having the machine sorted.

hi, thanks for the advice, i have an all in one printer/scanner/copier. its a dell one that we bought with the computer, i've been told that its not a cheapo one,but as for changing the settings and such i'll have to ask my step-son as i wouldn't have the foggiest!!
they don't look pink on screen, they look perfect, its just when i print them off, so would you say its the settings on the printer/scanner??
TIA X

A GOG original
I get this problem with blues. The screen looks perfect but the print is quite dark. I would be interested in what the solution is. Sounds like it might be DS. They do have their uses, these boys, don't they.
