By the way i have just notice that I never mentioned what the one step too far was -I wanted to make it that if you turned the top the horses would go round

I have worked it out in my head how to do this (i think) but is it one step too far

Yep, you've gone to far for me!

I'm depressed now, struggling just for inspiration for a Mother's Day card - let alone this Masterpiece .......

    Stunning.

If you can wind buckets out of wishing wells, I'm sure you can revolve carousels. I have the utmost faith in your ability.

When I was a little girl I had a wooden and fabric carousel made by German prisoners of war. It wasn't pretty, it was painted grey with (instead of horses) little RAF fighter planes that whizzed round on copper wires... Not very girly but I loved it! But I bet you couldn't make one of those??

Are you referring to me here Rosemary (I made the wishing well) and as some of you know I have a carousel in my gallery - worked out the basic up and down and round movement, but as I say, it is basic - now working on an all singing, all dancing - glides round like a knife through hot butter turning mechanism - my mother (sarky so and so) asked it it would have electric lights and music coming out of it - now theres a thought - now maybe that is indeed a step too far

Good luck to you rugersmum, lovely design - may your carousel run rings round you
