I still havent played my cricut with the software and i bought it about 2 weeks ago. I'm the same as Yvette, everytime i play to have a go, something crops up. I have guests at the moment (well, brother and his partner, are they still classed as guests? lol) so i cant really have a go. Maybe tomorrow. lol

lol haven't actually cut yet!!
got sidetracked downloading fontas and dingbats last night and then started to feel all fluey so gave up!

hoping for big things this afternoon!!!!! Both kids want to s/b this afternoon

so they can scrap and I can play!!!

btw I only wasn't sure what was going on as halfway through the activatring, a message came up saying about unexpected error or something, so I thought it would have been cut off in mid flow, but then when I went back in to it it didn't ask me to activate again, so hoping I'm in as I should be, LOL

Thanks Fay, just downloading the old version of cricut & inkscape so far so good. Looks like inkscape is going to take a while though.I'm determined to do this without asking DH or DS for help

Ok first problem, i've downloaded the trial scal version just before i buy to check i have set everything up correctly.

I've managed to type a word & clicked the weld button then cut. A small box came up on the screen saying "cutting with cricut" then "checking mat" Then nothing. It's sat like that for 5 mins so I guess I've missed something? Any ideas anyone?

Without sounding obvious have you checked your usb cable is plugged in OK between PC and Cricut?
