How to reply

Well without naming names as that would be unfair, I had a request for a template which a member could not find. Now that would not normally be a problem, however looking at the member's profile I noticed that though a member for a couple of months, the member had not made one single post - not even a 'thank you'. And that I freely admit is one of my dislikes

However, we communicated on this and I discovered that the member really did not know how to reply. So this was this member's problem - member couldn't say thank you because member didn't know how!

Well it is easy you might shout - but sometimes one forgets what it is like to be brand new to forums and find the whole thing very confusing.

So in case there are other members who don't know how, these simple pics may help.

Evidently the member's problem was that she didn't scroll down far enough

Linda well done it is so easy to forget that what seems realtively easy to us is not the case for everyone .. and can be sometimes intimidating..

I feel a bit guilty about this post...I asked for help on welding words and I had fast replies fromJoanne,Lucille,Tina and Mary..then my husband dismantled everything in my work room and decorated it (it looks very pretty)UnfortunatelyI didn't get time to follow their advice (I am still tidying up) and intended to try out their suggestions and reply as soon as poss.So ladies ..thank you for your help and I will let you know how it goes..and also thanks for your continual support and generosity in sharing your templates...I always reply to your helpful posts and I think it is a shame if anyone is taking it for granted

This post pricked my conscience cos I too have not posted my thanks. I found your site and registered. While waiting for eligibility to gain access to the templates, I devoured every bit of info available on this forum, tutorials, answers and advice in the forum. I now have access to the templates and they are WOW. I have downloaded several of the ones I found particularly beautiful or useful.I have done the newbie tutorial and am now fustratingly trying to come up with my answer to the challenge, not sure I willl make it.
So now I say to all you wonderful generous experts,thank you thank you thank you from a very grateful newbie.I would have been totally lost without you all. Am I forgiven?
