welding to a frame

can anyone help please i will try to keep this short
ihave been trying to make my own designs in dm and want to weld words inside my own shape frame
i have been trying to weld names to a bell shape for a wedding card
i have been following the instructions in the manual but every time i go to weld the centre edge of the frame and the words dissappear what am i doing wrong help needed please

i have figured it out at last
it seems that you have to use a frame that you have created in dm not imported and that everything has to be the same colour
hope this is of some use to other beginners like me
