    Question Letters in an oval frame How do I do it

    I want to make an oval aperture with lettering around the inside. I have done this before and had the instructions printed out.I think I threw them out yesterday and the bin men have been. I remember I had to make a frame then make path break path stuff. Please can any one help

    I do my frame and then add my letters so they are slightly touching the edge of the inner part of the frame then i path-object to path, path union

    Check out this months' Newbie Challenge. It teaches you how to do it in a circular frame, but you can adapt it for an oval frame. If this is the effect you are after.

    I wouldn't use this months challenge for that, look in the Inkscape tuts I am sure Susibi did one for inside and outside of an oval frame.

    Placing words around the inside of aperture

    I would love to see a tut showing how to make an aperture card with wording around the inside. I lost my instructions for this I did manage it in RM but have completely forgotton how.I now have DM so I would like to use that if possible.
