Just to add in =====
I have the wishblade version 3.0 - and this doesnt open the new format - says its in a newer version of software.
It doesnt open any of the newer files - whether they have been converted or not.

Old software can't open files created with new software,
but new software can open old files created in old versions, this is called being 'backward compatible'.
Does this help?
Go to Graphtec US and you can download V4 from them.

If I were to upload in what format should I do it - I don't want to cause confusion - or perhaps it would be better to wait until your poll has finished.
I think I get what your saying, but I'm not sure if you know this, once a template has been moved to the permanent section you won't be able to make any changes to it, you can remove it but you won't be able to upload a new one, so it is best to run them through the converter program and use the Edit button to remove and reupload now while they are in the general area.
I think the poll is going to be a yes, so I'm going with that.

That's fine Lucille, thank you. I will run them through the converter in the near future so that they are in their final state.
I see the poll is heavily in favour of Silhouette owners doing the conversion . I am in total agreement and more than happy to convert. It is just so nice to be able to share templates.
