    Usb Sticks

Thanks for the advice on spell checkers.

I know next to nothing about these things but hope someone else might. Do you think that £11.95 for a 4GB stick is a good deal? I want it to store my photos.

Lucille it all depends on how many photos you want to store? I have a 750gb external hardrive for mine. This makes for easy access and processing at any time

I think 750gb is too big for what I need, we have just bought an external HD for cloning the HD, I was going to get a USB stick just for my photos so I will have 2 back ups of those to be on the safe side, lets face it photos are irreplaceable

I've bought several from them going up in size each time.
Never had a problem yet (touch wood).
The first one I bought was 128mb and cost £24 the size is laughable now but it shows how much they have come down in price

Hi Myra, I have an Acer Laptop too, and I can only alter the battery settings when I have unplugged the AC power cable - then the battery options are no longer greyed out. HTH

My DD has a Sony Vaio and her battery stopped holding a charge after about a year, so always has to use the power adapter. Its a pain and its one thing the manufacturers don't guarantee, plus a new battery is about £180, so her laptop is no longer 'portable'.
