Just uploaded my card for a man that I was struggling with. I had a browse through the templates and found these gears which seemed just perfect as John is an HGV driver and we know how many gears they have!! Font is 'Keep on Truckin' which seemed so apt.

So thanks to Cassie7 whose template I used

And thanks again to Chris for making the relaxing man, I haven't used it for this card because it will do nicely for my DH later in the year, it is so like him!

Also uploaded an anniversary card using one of Lucille's templates for the card and ones of Shirley Ann's for the words.

    Lucille and Shirley Ann

Just checked those new cards you have added, Lucille, they look fantastic!!!

Nice LO Sarah and the scalloped border looks really nice, love that title was that cut on CR?

I think this is our first layout, lets hope it's the first of many.

Oh that's a shame. You can measure the space you have and draw a rectangle, type the title and then stretch or shrink to fit then cut from copier paper and lay it on the LO to see if the font looks OK and of course check the size as sometimes what will fit doesn't always look so good and needs to be smaller.

It gets easier after you have done a few, if you ever want help you are welcome to email me.

Thank you Lucille, very helpful hints. I also have fun trying to work out what thickness to set to cut the cs.....a friend advised me to double cut by copy and paste, but still not cut through on the bazzil .....trial and error and I will get there

Which CR do you have the old blue or the Grey?

If you want to get to grips with Bazzill get out some scraps and have a test cutting session, but don't use the default test cut as that is only straight lines and will cut easier than something with swirls and curves.

I use a font called Black rose and I make the size 1/2" type 2 letters and make them different colours, then position your letters next to each other in what ever corner you want to start and use the setting Card with out backing, if that doesn't cut through increase the depth of the cut and cut the next letter then drag the first letter across and next to the second letter so you don't keep cutting in the same place, you can keep doing this forever until you get a good cut, just remember to change your cutline colours each time.

Once you get a good cut add it to my media settings. From experience I prefer a double cut with the yellow cap rather than going for a first time cut with the red blade because it seems kinder on the CS. I did used to be a one cut on red person, but the CS suffered because of that.

I've never quite managed to get Bazzill to cut without leaving a very very faint mark on the CS.

As Susibi says in her FAQs it is worth spending time at the start to get to grips with things like this than keep muddling through, I would find that really frustrating.
