Your design?
I have now started making my own templates, sometimes completely from scratch but mostly by importing an image or scanning from a magazine, do these copied images still 'belong' to the original designer/magazine or do they become 'yours' as you've changed them and made into a different format?
Just wondered.

I would say that they still belong to the original designer, so therefore, you would only be able to use them for personal use. HTH.

You definately can't take from magazines and claim as your own.. and most design templates their copyright stays with the designer.. as like all on here that's free nearly everyone says for personal use only and no bits to be taken to make your own designs..
But if you are making from scratch then the copyright stands with you

Ruth you can look at a picture in a magazine, be inspired by it, and then create you own version from scratch.
