Tim Holtz boxes to alter
Just taken delivery of THREE of Sir Tim's alterable memory boxes, and I have a FREE day tomorrow so will be getting out my paints and papers and making a mess of myself and my desk! I cant wait!
-
I'm working on my second one at the moment. It took me no time at all to cover the insides with paper. Filling the boxes and securing the items has proved more time consuming.
Love the challenge of finding bits and bobs to put inside. I still need to buy tissue tape and I'm waiting on the broken things (ladies with no arms) and I fancy some of the small bottles from Tim too...my list goes on.
I really need to take some pics and upload them.

Procrastinating Scrapper...
I've got a couple of Configurations boxes but am too scared to start on them I have some ideas but need to sit and think about them for a little longer I think...
Am hankering after one of his printers trays tho, they look absolutely yummy.

I'd love a printer tray - wouldn't have to worry about the bits and pieces falling over BUT what where would I put it? Hmm....
-
I bought a cabinet that's a bit like a printer tray but with a glass front. the boxes are probably a bit bigger but I've filled it with little ornaments so that I don't have to dust them so often. I'm wondering whether to back some of the 'boxes' with patterned paper

Mmm go on Cris - you know you want to... it's just gotta be done!
And then there's always tissue tape along the top edges...

Thanks Cris, this one is for my daughter. I only managed one good photo before my camera batteries died.
My local scrapbook store is waiting for a delivery of TH tissue tape - I could've gone elsewhere but it gives me a reason to buy more TH stash when I go to buy the tape!
I have my own box covered and have started filling it but it sure taxes the brain looking for different bits and pieces to include. It's great to be thinking outside the box!!
I'm off to check out Dan's now

I have made a second one since the TH class. They are both on my blog as is a link to a TH giveaway
-
Dan, I love yours.
I need more of Tim's goodies to put in mine!
Can I ask did you secure the items in the boxes? I've tried to glue/fasten mine down to stop everything from moving when the box is touched/moved
