Did you use the spoon or the screw to remove the roller ball?

After trying several times, I finally managed to remove the ball yesterday using a screw.

A thinnish spoon worked for me. Brilliant idea though. Works a teat.

I've tried this and it's a good idea but, and it's a big but, I can't use it again as the glue has stuck the roller to the container so I've wasted all that glue. Any ideas?

Heat the bottle to soften the glue? You could try a craft heat gun?

I'd have thought a quick dip in water would loosen the glue. When ever I have a problem with either gel medium, acrylic varnish or acrylic paint & can't get the lid off through it drying and sticking I find dipping it in hot water for a short time will loosen the lid.

I'll try this, it doesn't seem worth using a roller if I have to release the ball after every use.

    What a great idea and it's re-cycling.
