    52 Cards Challenge 2012

This thread has been automatically created, because the original thread had over 250 posts.

The original thread was located HERE.

    The first post was....

Welcome to the thread for this year's 52 Cards challenge!

Those of you who joined in with the 2011 challenge will be quite familiar with how this works but there are a few little changes this year - namely to the prompts.

    What is it?
A no-stress challenge aimed at getting you to make a card a week in 2012.
Each week I will post prompts to my blog - these will either be:
    • 3 prompts randomly picked from the prompt jar
    • Photo inspiration from Pinterest, etc. (that you can interpret in any way that you like: colours, layout, design elements, product - it's up to you!)
    • Design elements or themes
    • An existing card design that you can use as a sketch to create your own interpretation

All you need to do is use the prompts as inspiration to create a card and share it here on the thread. Easy as that.

If you can't include all elements of a prompt, don't worry - there are no rules, the aim is simply to get creating!

    Where are the prompts?
All prompts past and present can be found here at my blog.

    When are they posted?
The prompts go live every Monday morning at around 8.30 a.m. Due to work hours I schedule the blog post for challenge prompts so it's available at the same time and same place each week. I am sure some kind soul could list the prompts here on the thread for anyone having difficulties visiting the blog.

So all that remains to say is... see you Monday for week one!
Please feel free to carry on......

Here's mine for last week, this week's is right up my street, I had that paper too but think I may have used it all.

Lovely to see all the pics of what people have done, lots to look at I loved the little boat one.

Gosh, can't believe we've rolled over to a new thread already. Great work everyone! The cards have been fab and so diverse.

I had to smile at Trish's card as not only was it stunning but I noticed she'd picked the same paper to use as I had just used for this week's prompt. But I've got none left now, thankfully! Hurrah a scrap of paper put to good use, just one million or so other pieces of paper left to go!

I'll post my card for this week here in case anyone can't access the blog, the elements are butterfly, paper and hot pink.

    Get your shades ready...

WOW lots of fantastic cards ladies and I too was amazed to see we had rolled onto a new thread!!

I really need to catch up a bit this week as I still have last weeks prompts to put together and this weeks, which I love Nat - Butterfly, paper and hot pink - ideal for making a lovely Summery card in this cold, snowy weather

    I hope everyone is well

I remembered I had these old Pink Paislee papers with the perfect amount of hot pink in them. But I still dulled them down a bit with distress ink and woodgrain tape!

    Great cards everyone.

Will try and get this week's card done tomorrow as I have to wait in for a new suite to be delivered.

Thanks Nat - I spotted that when I looked at the prompts for this week on your blog on Monday! It's been ages since I used any Delovely papers too. I'll have to find something else hot pink for this week now!

Lovely card claire! I like the way the ink takes it back, gives a sort of sophisticated look rather than girly.
I had a fully formed idea for mine, but have completely changed it now so hopefully will have time to do it tomorrow night

I'm behind again but it's half term next week so I can catch up then. In the meantime I'm being inspired by all your beautiful cards.

Yaaaay me, I've finally managed to make a card that fits the challenge. You wanted hot pink, hot pink is what you're getting! Just got to post it now.
