Fab cards everyone - loving seeing everyone's take on flat cards - I did struggle with this one as I love adding raised elements. In the end I stamped directly onto the card and made a trio of quick and easy cards.
really loving the use of scrap boxes! great cards on here - making me not want to post this but here goes!!!!!!
I've been looking at this for 2 weeks now and it just isn't doing it for me! i've messed, glued, removed and finally decided to call it a card!
Week 9 2 x decorative edges (which i totally messed up on, thinking they needed to be the card blank edges - doh!!!!) and scrap paper.
the PP was a piece from my scrap box which i've sprayed and stamped and it now looks nothing like it did! i really really love this piece of paper which is why i didn't just bin the card when it wasn't working. i've added a baby blue scallop to the top to soften the die cut edge on the top which was really annoying me. the die cut scroll and all three circles for the sentiment were white card from my scrap box too. i can't remember the last time i used paper or card from my good stash!
But I am at least UP TO DATE - whoooohooooo, well, for one more hour at least!
Now this could be just the prompt I need for my Mothering Sunday card, I have no idea what to do, well should I say I HAD no idea, until now. Pale pink it is Mother, like it or not.
Thanks for your kind comments. The postcard card with the birds has an embossed background using an embossing folder I treated myself to recently as it went so well with the stamp I had previously treated myself to! Can you see a common thread running through this post! I'm really into the distressed, vintage look at the moment and am loving embossing using coredinations card.
Now on to the next prompt for week 11. Sounds like a nice one to do.
I love the background and the swirl on your card Lilli, very pretty.
I also love those Penny Black hedgehogs Karen and the cute cat and mouse stamp Virginia - all lovely cards.
Loving the cards, Lilli the background is fab, Karen your hedgehogs are so cute and two fab cards Virginia, keep on treating yourself
Here's mine for this week, got a bit carried away with Stitching - stitched ribbon, stitches on the paper (another old scrap, yay!), faux stitching on the letters and hand stitching on the green bit. All cut from the Cricut Just Because cartridge It's funny, when I saw the bird part earlier I was gonna play on the "A Little Bird Told me, then when I was rummaging through my carts I saw that and thought "Bonus! it's all there for me"
