    week 17

here's my card for this week. You can't really see the pearls but I used them for the centre of the flowers and on the corners of the sentiment.

Thank you all once again for the lovely comments, you certainly know how to make a girl's day! I'll have to post a photo of the baby he is so cute.

The image (if anyone is interested) was a Precious Moments clipart download. I don't think I broke any copyright laws by putting it on a card, only if I had changed it or added to it in some way. Perfect though for a quick baby card.

Lin, that card is gorgeous. I love the colours so much I feel the need to make a cream and brown card now.

Virginia, yours is so pretty, love the paper and I can see the pearls quite easily.

here's mine for this week! I really did need to get cracking with this one and it was doing my head in with my mental block! The image is from the freebie digi stamps in a craft mag and i'd coloured it a while back when i was practising using promarkers. The calender has the date highlighted with a 'blob' of glossy accents - I bought a pack of calenders with good intentions of making gifts but never did, they are now being put to use like this so as to not waste them.

Still have 'happy' to do! Along with a mass of cards I NEED to do eeeeeek!

That is simply gorgeous - what lovely digi images - and what a good way to use the calendars. I have been known to buy those with the good intentions of making christmas gifts - and make the fatal mistake of putting them in a 'safe place' !!

Well I've left my messages for your cards ladies, they are just so gorgeous and so different.

Thanks for the tip about Doodle Pantry Sue, I was straight onto their site.

Is that flourish an overlay Barb, it's so pretty?

Looks like your mental block has gone then Lilli, that card is gorgeous and the digi images are so sweet. Great job with the promarkers, I really struggle getting the colours and shading to look half decent.

Only got home an hour ago (dad stuff) and I know tomorrow I'll be too tired to do anything and I have sooooo many birthdays coming up for May. I always plan to get them done early but never do.

Yes that's an acrylic overlay. I have stamped on top of it in 2 places to add to the flourishes.

For those who haven't checked yet, the prompts are translucent or transparent such as acetate, vellum or glassine, which is quite funny because I started work on a vellum birthday card for my sister yesterday and it's gone into the scraps box - may have to drag it out now.

Ooh thanks Susie I was actually mulling over an idea for an acetate card just at the weekend so it looks like I'll have to do more than just mull now

Wow you have all been busy, some great cards there ladies. I have fallen way behind again. Need to get my kindle surgically removed and then I'll play catch up, possibly tomorrow. Having serious block here, I got Elegant Edges cart for my cricut the other week and haven't even used it yet!
