    Week 18 - something transparent !

OK - used clear acetate printed with silver snowflakes to make the card.

Printed a Robin ( from a Robert Addams disc ) onto silver foil.
Used Spellbinders 'Heirloom' shape to make the mounts and cut out the picture - it didn't like the silver foil - took three passes through the cuttlebug before it cut.

Added a silver bow and a verse - done - but difficult to photograph !

ScribbleMonster: Thank you - I am glad that you like it. Yours is a really pretty card - I love the subtle colours.

Philthetog: That card is amazing ! It must have taken a lot of time and patience to put all those pearls on !

    Those are so lovely.

I got carried away and did two for this week's prompt although I was tempted to use last week's with that acetate scroll.

I cut the front of the blue card base off apart from 1 in and used a piece of spotted acetate for the rest of the base card.

On this one I stamped and heat embossed the seedheads before cutting them out and sticking them on.

Those are great - I love the idea of using newsprint/text as a background on 16.

    Week 18

Wanted to do an acetate card but didn't have any acetate! Ended up using a printed vellum that I embossed with birds and swirls.

Note to self. Must get some acetate when next out shopping to have a go at using it on a card.

Fabulous cards ladies, I love them all. Sadly, my back went completely (passing out with pain kind) at the beginning of the week and this is my first chance to get near the computer. I've left a few messages need to go and lie flat again now.

I had made a card but it was all rather hurried and I messed up a bit on the vellum. It was for my sister's birthday so couldn't rip it apart but then she didn't notice the mistake anyway! Just finished it before the back gave out. Of course the photo makes the mistake look 100 times worse ah well.

I'll post it next time I get up and at least I've taken part.

I stuck a butterfly over one of the worst bits of glue showing through the vellum. Back to bed again now.

That is lovely, Susie A, white on white always looks so stylish. I specially like the embossing - was that done with a folder ?

Hope your back improves quickly !
