I hope it works for you. From what I've read, it appears to be a common problem!

I have changed the settings to what hi de hi said and today has been the 1st day that I have cut quite a lot out and I am glad to report that everything has cut well

Thanks for letting us know. I wonder how it works mine has always been set at 1000 and doesn't stop, I wonder if it has any connection to spooling or memory, I might try and find out.
