That's lovely Virginia. I had a go at it once too, and I don't think it is my thing either.

Great cards girls - I had a go at rolled ribbon flowers not so long ago, may make some more in future to use up old ribbon, but I got rather frustrated with my first attempt! LOL
It'll take some time before I want to try one again. hehe

The woodgrain embossing folder is by Daryce I think - got it from That's Crafty and works lovely in my cuttlebug.

Re how to make cupcake case rosettes. There are two ways that I have seen.

The first one I used on this card:

Where you cut the base out of your case so it has no middle, then use a needle and thick thread to randomly stitch around the hole you've cut and pull the thread tight to scrunch the middle together, knot and then glue on your card, etc.

The second version creates a lumpier rosette and you are basically just scrunching the middle to bring the rosette in and attaching it with glue or a brad. I applied some sticky tape to the back after scrunching just to hold it all together a bit better.

That is really lovely. I find parchment work quite relaxing - I do hope that you have another go !

Silver Tiger - love your lilac card, really pretty

Virginia - great pergamano card - have never tried this. I especially like the seam binding/button embellishment.

Here is my card for this week - as luck would have it the theme this week on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge is monochromatic too so have killed two birds with one card More details on my blog
