Oh My Goodness TOOTHPASTE!!!!???????? Who would have thought of that I do know that toothpaste like many other household products has many hidden qualities...and can do "other" jobs as well.... But Surely the whole ideal way would be not to get marks on your monitors in the first place...

    Sorry couldnt resist saying that...

I was told by IT dept, when flat screen monitors first came out, not to rub the 'soft' screens as it could damage them. Don't know if this is true but tread warily.

My useless hint of the day: Toothpaste used to be recommended for removing tea stains from melamine cups when they were in vogue years ago.

I've rubbed my flat screen (gently) and it's been fine but I did have an accident with my craft standard lamp which gave it a clout (fortunately in one corner!) and that's given it a permanent 'bruise'.

PS Actually in a work environment, both marker and biro marks on the screen are a regular feature - pointing out stuff on your monitor with a writing tool still in your hand isn't that unusual!
