Oh dear, I had to smile at all the fellow hexagon-die lovers. I bought mine when visiting the MFT store in Florida before Christmas. I was definitely a "not on the hexagon bandwagon" kinda girl until I saw a card sample using it, then promptly had to have it!
It just makes things so easy and mixing and matching scraps of paper until you get the look you want is really fun!
Lovely cards Virginia, and we'll all be looking forward to your hexagon creations.
another gorgeous one Virginia! Love the purity of this one!
Thanks Nat, but I have to agree that it just doesn't give the bevelled edges dies do - has it's uses but this wasn't one of it's best! I like the little cards ones though. Thankfully I have my new dies to play with! You have a lot to answer for to my bank manager
Here is my really quick week 17 Christmas card. I used remnants of paper and embellishments from an old QVC Christmas boxed kit that I bought several years ago.
It was quite refreshing to make a card that didn't take me ages as I do tend to faff about a bit with my layouts!
I like the way you have laid out your hexagons, and I think I remember that QVC kit I'm sure I must have some old QVC bits too, buried somewhere - maybe if I tidied my craft room ......
Here is my week 15 text card. The stamp is a Memory box one and is a bit disappointing because it's not actually square, not quite, so having cut an equal distance around the edge of the text, I then had to trim it into a nice square it also doesn't stamp perfectly, this one is the third attempt!!! I will have to try it again with just ink instead of trying to emboss it, see if that makes a difference
