Well despite all the obstacles Lilli those cards are just gorgeous. And I hate to say it, but you need a hexagon die/punch, they really are good for using up scraps and mixing and matching - it will pay for itself in hours of entertainment. :p

Great take on the folk art too!

Just realised I hadn't shared my hexagons on the thread so here they are:

beautiful cards - and making me strop even more lol!!!!! I have downloaded a couple of files for the robo but alas they won't be any good for using scraps!

Can I ask what cutting machine you use Nat? Your cut outs always have such a lovely edge to them.

Beautiful cards, Nat - saw them on your blog - and just had to buy the dies. Have happily used up lots of those scraps that we all end up with - just need to put them together in card now.

Am going to have to work like a demon to catch up with this years challenge - like the idea of doing Christmas ones as well. Thank you for organising and inspiring us !

I just have the original cuttlebug Lilli, had it god knows how long... I bought the extended plates for it as well so I can cut longer dies. Have to say have always had best cutting results with thin metal dies like PTI, MFT, spellbinders and cheery Lynn. Sizzlits are always hit and miss and marriane dies can need a few passes to cut cleanly... I'm afraid the rounded clean edge on my cuts is due to using dies... In my experience you just can't achieve that with an electric cutter.

Glad you managed to get the dies ST, hope to have fun with them.

What a lot of gorgeous cards girls. I think I need a hexagon die too.
Which mag has the free die on?
I was at the ATDML retreat at the weekend and was lucky enough to be sat opposite Wendy in the crop room, lovely to meet her and some wonderful work she did, very neat.
Met a few other UKS members too but can't remember who, oh dear.
Got a few cards to do this week so will be catching up on here I hope.

I definitely need that die or a punch too. The cards have been wonderful such lovely vibrant colours, even the pastels seem to stand out more when cut with a hexagon die - or is it an optical illusion?

*waves* to Carolyn - was lovely to meet someone from 'here'
I am tempted by hexagon dies too.....I just keep wondering if it is a bit of a phase - I do have a CM punch with two sizes of hexagon on already!

Oh yes that is bright and breezy Hazel.
I found the butterfly die mag, after Dh went and bought the wrong mag for me, Morrisons were happy to exchange it

    Great cards Carolyn
Here is mine for week 13, still struggling to catch up! The inspiration was from Craft Stamper.

MFT are sold as the Dienamics brand, there are several stockists in UK now, not sure if any of them are sponsors so can't name them... however if you google dienamics hexagon and specify pages from the Uk I have shopped at the first two listings which came up for me .....
