Scrapping in 6x8" size
Has anyone tried this size? I have bought the simple stories 6x8" albums. I am just wondering what size photos will work best as I generally like to have 2/3 photos on a page. I've decided to use this size as my 12x12 albums from 2007-now take up a huge shelf so if I carry on till my kids are 18 they will take over the house! Anyone else?

I've got the ss albums but am using them as a sort of Travel journal so a lot of the pics are just very tiny with journaling.... Not much help, sorry! X

Lol at least its a reply! Anyway there are a really good size for travel, event or like JYC albums aren't they, I am very impressed by them and the whole simple stories range actually. Will see how I go and if it doesn't work out I'll go back to 12x12 and have to build an extension to the house for the size of the albums lol.

Master of cut and paste!
There are other sizes, too: 8x8, 9x9 (anybody remember these?....unfortunately too short-lived), 8.5x11 (my favourite) in both portrait and landscape, and then the 12x12. Anything smaller than 8x8 is too small for regular scrapping. As mentioned above, the small sizes are perfect for circle journals, travel journals, etc. -- anything with no photos.

First album
I want to make my very first album for an Australian granddaughter arriving in the UK today for a month. Something to remember her trip. I was thinking of an A5 chipboard album but the blank ones seem to be hard to find. Not sure if I will be able to fill 20 sides /10 pages tho
Would you experienced ladies recommend chipboard over paper and any idea where to buy smaller albums (thinking of baggage going home) ?
Thanks

Hi I am not sure if you mean to post on this thread Morgana but a5 is not far of 6x8 anyway! These albums I am talking about come with some paper and chipboard dividers already in... Here they are if you want to have a look http://www.craftisland.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=8198

I'm ot sure I agree about smaller than 8x8 being too small, especially with this new trend of loads of white space and a bunch of pp and one photo, everything on the page would fit on 6x6 maybe if it wasn't for the white space!
I'm going to get some 3x4 photos printed today (2 on a 6x4 sheet)

I did my December daily in 6x8 and loved it, so much so I'm doing my wedding album and random bits of scrapping in this size. I tend to print 3x4 photos, but also use 2x3 and occassionally 6x4, I mix it up using full 6x8 page protectors and divided page protectors. I still scrap on the larger formats of 8.5x11 and 12x12 though, I've not given those up completely.

I love different sizes.
I regularly scrap 8 x 8 and have done 6 x 6 numerous times.
My favourite size is 8 1/2 x 11" landscape (and you can no longer get albums for this)

I like the landscape style too and have been trying to get an album for it.
Let me know if you ever find a stockist.
