    postage prices?

After the kit thread I am wondering if postage prices will be going up with the rest of the sponsors or the end of free postage over a certain spend offers? Does anyone know?

I doubt any sponsor will be able to carry on absorbing these costs, unless they sell mainly dies etc. We will definitely have to increase our prices, which has remained at £2.50 + VAT since 2005.

I'll have to increase my prices too with the minimum being £2.95 and then 'actual' cost up to £4.95 maximum that anyone will have to pay - no matter how much they order !

I wonder what we can all do, I am thinking along the lines of one larger order every other month instead of every month, that will help if the 'free postage when spending over £50' goes up to a higher threshold, otherwise if people have a local friend they could order together.

Sorry if I've missed this, but can anyone direct me to details of the new postage rates?
    Thanks

Small parcels can be upto 350 x 450 x 80. Surely 12x12 supplies fit easily into that size. I've checked my stock of empty pizza boxes from various scrapbook stores and some are larger but some are smaller, so ones that meet the small parcels restrictions can be obtained.

some products will fit into a 13" square pizza box, but it's a snug fit by the time you've popped them in bags to protect them from the lovely wet UK weather. We sell products where even though the item is 12x12 the packaging isn't, so they will have to go in larger boxes, taking them to medium sized parcels.

Recorded delivery is also increasing, and i know not all retailers use it, but we do. And we are also slapped with VAT on top of the postal charges, so raise those prices by another 20%, then add in the packaging costs.

This raise is going to hit a lot of the sponsors hard.
