    Questions

Hi i have a few questions

Can you put a a ball bearing into spray inks to make it easier to mix.?

I have found some very old photos is it better to get them scanned on a profesional machine or do it on my own scanner.?

Question 1 I am afraid I have no idea but from experience have actually found it better to use a decent camera on macro setting to get fairly close to the original picture and just photograph it. I then use photoshop to trim and lighten as appropriate. When I have done this I have gotten a lovely clear image rather than the usual grainy/speckled effect my scanner gives - and it is much cheaper than paying to get them scanned

Depends on your scanner. Mine gives a very good result.

I'd say yes on ball bearings, as long as they're not too big to get us the spray tube
I made my own sprays from our SU reinkers and alcohol spray, and all the ones I added mica to I added a ball bearing to too, and they've been fine x

    I agree.

Not all scanners are photo scanners though. My Epson scanner gives really good results.

The secret to get a good scan is to scan it at 300dpi or higher. Try and print the scanned photo at the same size as the original. If you try and enlarge a lot of old photos you then get the noise ( grain) on it. The resolution of old film photos isn't as high as digital cameras take now.
