I have been looking at a big shot today... i sold all my other machines when Lisa died as i couldnt see me doing it again now i wish i had kept them lol...the only thing i did keep was my cuttlebug for some reason... but thats packed away somewhere in a box....

The cuttlebug does mostly what the big shot does apart from a few dies. I would buy a plug in the computer one if I had the spare cash, then you can design/buy single cuts rather than having loads of dies you may only use a couple of times!

If you buy a Cricut you would need to buy the cartridges because the software you cused to be able to use to make your own shapes etc such as MTC and SCAL are no longer available to use with the Cricut

I have a cricut expression. To be when I can afford it I am selling the cricut and upgrading to a silhouette. I feel that I can then buy what I want to cut rather than having expensive cartridges that I only cut one thing on.

I've got a silhouette cameo and love it. You can download files ( including free ones) , it will cut card/paper and with different blades fabric and vinyl. Plus add in a drawing pen and it sketches.you can even design and cut your own files or convert digital brushes to cut files. You buy exactly what you want. No need to buy whole cartridges with shapes you'll never use.

Definitely a silhouette I had a cricut expression sold all the cartridges and machine on a well known auction site and had more than enough to buy the silhouette. Far more versatile to use. Take a look on their blog and shop

I love my Cuttlebug - it is used almost daily - and takes everything that I throw at it !

As happy as a pig in muck!!
I had a Robo - now gathering dust somewhere. The Cricut put me off with the cartridges. I have a Cuttlebug which is very under used - by my little Tag A Long I use loads. Am tempted by the new teal coloured Big Shot.

Desperately seeking scraptime....
I have a Big Shot and an eclips (the Sizzix version of the Silhouette) although I do use the eClips, it's rare, whereas I get the Big Shot out almost every time I craft.
