The hottest day of the year...are you scrapping?

It is supposed to be the hottest day of the year, at least around here. 30 degrees! Oh my days!

What are you planning? Hiding inside trying to keep cool and gettin' scrappy?
Setting up a paddling pool in the garden?
Going to the cinema, where hopefully the air con is working?
Standing in the frozen food aisle of the grocery store?

I swear the heat being put out by my Mac raises the temp in my office by about 3 degrees.

How about you? Dh is heading up to Scotland, which is behind the heatwave, but Maddie and I may work on some arty things. I'm considering a little mini-book for her escort. She asked about getting some photos as Maddie is moving on to college so it might be a good idea to get started and she is only in school for one more week!

If I can just settle on a design for the book I might actually manage it......

Oh good, then - I can look forward to much loveliness coming. I'll have to go back a double check to be 100% sure but I think you had an article in CS this month that is on my list of things to try. To be fair, I sometimes pile up issues and go thru a bunch at once, so it COULD have been last month

Where I live its 28deg+ most of the summer and at times it puts me off both my paper craft and knitting! I tend to do more in the morning and evening as its too much in the afternoons! I chill in the pool and work on my tan in the afternoons and plan cards and layouts in my head as I swim!
Just a hint..don't try a fan to cool down your craft area.....

I've got a mini book to finish, but only 2 pages or so, played with it until 10.30 last night and hope to get it done this morning. It's shady at the back of the house where I scrap so as long as I'm done by lunchtime I should be OK!

29 degrees in the midlands today... never mind. I could be at work!

Just been out to walk the dog at 8.30.......it's melting out there already!! I'm off to Tewkesbury as they are having a Civil War re-enactment there this weekend. http://www.tewkesburymedievalfestival.org/
I must be mad but will try and stay in the shade as much as possible!

I've blocked most of the windows with ... stuff, to keep the sun out and am hopeful we won't be driven out. It's already quite warm outside and it's only 10 AM. I shudder to think what 4 pm is going to feel like.

Of course that means scrapping in the dark ....

I'll be sitting inside with all the windows and doors open and a fan going in every room upstairs, will probably be scrapping but won't have my desk light on as the heat that throws out is ridiculous. And because i wont be seen in public i have a pair of shorts and strappy vest on

I have a card to make, but it is too hot to sit upstairs making it.

It is the Wales Air Show today, so will get very noisy in a bit. As long as I get some nice photos of the Red Arrows as they fly over I don't mind. Last year it felt like they were coming in through the back door and out the front, they were so low!

My Scrap room is quite dark as the windows are in the wrong place but it does mean that I can open them wide

Although the official temperatures say it's not quite as hot here today as it's been,it certainly doesn't feel it. I think I'll stay indoors today and finish off some cards.

May go out later when it's cooled down a bit.

I have major clearing out and cleaning planned for next week so am hoping that it's going to be quite a bit cooler or I may just have to postpone it
