    Acid free sprays

It looks like the various sprays to make papers acid free (archival mist etc) have been discontinued Is anyone aware of alternatives?

Otherwise...I'm thinking of using a clear spray coating (eg rustoleum crystal clear or plastickote) which won't de-acidify the paper but should stop memorabilia discolouring the page it's stuck to. Has anyone else tried this?

    TIA,

    Rachel

Fantastic, thanks Mary Anne... and blimey, that's cheaper than the special scrapbook sprays isn't it

(Of course I still have to find out their delivery charges, I may be in for a nasty shock)!

And it says you need their special cleaner to use on the spray gun - and the smallest bottle of that is £93!

Yikes! I wonder what the composition of that product is. Usually there is a cheaper alternative. I use surgical spirit in lieu of Alcohol Ink blending solution and it works just as well for me and costs a LOT less

Actually, reading that page says that they shouldn't be "contaminated with water" but why is it not possible to clean the lines by putting them in another spray bottle with water then leaving hem to dry completely for a long time before reusing? And would it be cheaper in the end to simply use it, planning on a long session where you deacidify a large amount of stuff at once, then toss out the spray attachment and use a new one the next time? You could get a lot of sprayers for £100
