    JYC Albums

    Hi,
I just wondered what albums everyone is using for JYC this year? It's been 3 years since I last did it but I decided that I'd like to give it a go again this year. But in my usual indecisive fashion I can't decide what sort of album to do and would be interested to know what everyone else is using.

    Thanks!

    Kim

I have just bought a project life album and the Holiday cards plus some divided protectors and some 12" x 12" protectors, and am going to do a mixture of project life and full pages . Can't wait! I have done it for a few years now, using different sizes/types of albums.

I've ordered a Smash (Holiday) book for mine. Is it almost December already?!

JYC is Journal Your Christmas, a class by Shimelle, well worth doing, she gives you prompts every day for ideas and prompts for photos (prompts are emails). Once you have subscribed to the class then you can do it every year after for free. It costs £22 this year and here is a link for you to look around shimelles site http://www.shimelle.com/paper/1925/s...hristmas-2013/

My Smash book has arrived -thanks to a lovely sponsor - and it's perfect! It has pages printed with lots of Christmassy words and colours, with scope for further embellishing if you like, plus some clear inserts like album pages which will take a 4x6 photo or journalling card. I think there are more pages than are needed for JYC, but in any case there is some room for expansion if you add embellies. Starting to get in the mood now!

I've just signed up after seeing this post and been looking around for an album. Where did you get the Christmas Themed Smash book if it's ok to ask that?

I am also doing JYC for my 6th time. I have used the paperchase 6x8 kraft folders - at £3 a go, they are great, but I find 8x8 a manageable size too. This year I have been unable to get the 6x8 pockets to go in the Paperchase ones, but A5 or Simple Stories ones will do! It is a lovely journal to look back on in years to come, especially for the children!
