    Hello everyone

Can't remember if I've posted here to say I'll be joining in again this year. Probably no less sporadically than last time

Great to see some familiar faces/names and lots of new blood.

    Some lovely creations so far

A few of my lovely crafty friends saw the card I made for my sister's birthday next week and said I should join in... so here is a few days late for week 1 but thinking about week 2's card already

I am really enjoying looking for dies. I'm also checking the ones that I like to see if I can use my cameo silhouette instead. The card below was made using a rolled rose design that I discovered as a die and checked the silhouette store and found in there. I have also found folded rosettes that look great as dies but can be found in the silhouette store much cheaper. Plus you can alter to any size you need when cut with the silhouette.

What beautiful cards Lisa and Jayne.

Jayne, that should be my New Year's resolution, to use my Silhouette more as I have so many designs from the store. That's a lovely font on your card, is it a peel off or is it printed on?

    Hi Susie,

The font is Brock Script and it's printed on. If you can't get hold of it message me and I will send it across to you.

Thanks for that Jayne it really is lovely. I think the font can make or break a card and I have some nice fonts but they can be too elaborate in lower case making it hard to read. I love that this one has more of a flourish at the beginning and then more simple after, if you know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean. That's what I like about it too. It has an opulent and extravagant look about it too.

Here's my week 1 cards, got a bit carried away and made several. the papers were freebies in a recent card magazine and I wanted to use it all rather than put tiny bits back in my stash, still have 2-3 cards to finish off using same papers !
Need to think about week 2 now !

Oooh lovely indeed, those papers really suit the sunburst style of the third card.

I think the third or fourth card would be favourite for me. Love the sunburst but also love the simplicity of the butterfly card too.
