    New laptop advice

    Hi all

I am in the process of buying a new laptop and was after some advice as to the best one to get. I have a silhouette and lots of digital kits I use. Can anyone recommend a good laptop ?

    Thanks

I'm thinking of a new one, too, but I think I shall wait until they start shipping Windows 10.

Any laptop with Windows 8 gets a free upgrade to 8.1 then 10 when it comes out.

My only advice is to get one with lots of memory - we have Windows 8 desktop and just running Windows seems to take a lot of memory. I don't think this computer is actually significantly faster than our (very!) old one. For everyday stuff its fine but things like my photo editing software (I dont even have anything as fancy as photoshop) are a bit creaky! I think we got 8Gb of RAM, but go for higher if you can afford it!!
