    Lah-de-dah pen/glue thing

I recently picked up a lah-de-dah glue & pen combo similar to the smashbook ones. I'm really unhappy with the glue part though - I didn't realise it was a glue stick - and a poor one at that. it's smearing everywhere, not sticking very well and making my elements bumpy.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal for those pens or if i have a defective one?

Also, does anyone know if the smashbook ones are the same? I get the impression from videos that the smash one is a liquid glue and had thought this was similar, but really only got it because I wanted a black pen and the smash ones available were pink.

    thanks!

My original Smash Book one was/is a glue stick like Pritt Stick. Everything I tried sticking with it fell out so I switched to tape and photo corners. Don't know if they've changed them with the newer ones.

that's disappointing. I thought it'd be handy having both in one, but the whole thing is pointless if one of the two parts isn't good enough. boo!

thanks for letting me know. I'll replace it with a nicer pen and put some photo mounts into an envelope at the back. that should keep it flat enough to write on without having to carry tape or glue around.

Glue dots are good too if you're wanting to stick 'on the go',. The ones on sheets, I keep them in the pocket in my planner for quick sticking.
