    Photos from negatives

    Hi
I've got some old negatives from 1986 that I want to try and get printed at 4x6. Do you know anywhere on the high street that is still doing prints from negatives?

    Thanks
    Cris

Alternatively you can have the negatives scanned and then make prints from the digital version. We have a home scanner that will scan negatives.

I bought a negative/slide scanner in Lidl about 6 months ago. I was able to scan loads of negatives from 1980s and 1970s. There were some from the 1960s that turned out well too. But of course Lidl offers are not always what you want, but I think these scanners are inexpensive if you search around. The resultant prints worked well on the whole. If you do a lot of scanning you have to be careful with the lining up. Some of mine came out back to front, gets a bit tedious.

    Thanks for that Evelin.
The negatives I've had reprinted so far have come out well too. The colours still seem pretty good which was what worried me.
