Is there some way to add the silhouette sketch pen to the commonly used settings? As i use that loads and i have to keep searching for it.

Unfortunately, no. But if you create your own custom preset (click the + sign) called 'sketch pen' with the same settings, it will appear at the very bottom of the list, which should make it easier to find.

Oooo it don't seem to have the sketch pen listed in the drop down menu for custom

You might need to scroll down the screen a bit more, it is shown right at the bottom of the list.
