    Thanks in advance x

I have a Samsung M2020 - bought it for just under £50 from John Lewis - fantastic service . My old inkjet printer went on the blink and they replaced it ... after 2 years of use as it was still under warranty Loving my new laser printer thought - it's SO quick .

I have a Samsung mono laser printer which takes 300gms card without a problem. Where the problems occur is in the setting of the toner. With my printer (others may work differently) it's apparent that the heating element that sets the toner is on the other side of the card/paper from the black toner powder that makes the image. The thicker the card is, the less the heat is able to travel through it to set the toner, producing prints which just smudge when you touch them. Prints on paper or thin card are great but for that reason I don't use thicker card in it, even though it feeds through fine.

I don't have a gsm value for the card I use but it's pretty thin, maybe like two or three sheets of regular printer paper pressed together.
