Managed to get this shot of the house number on way home from the beach today and also a photo of my spiced gingerbread pudding that I baked for afternoon tea yesterday. (Hairy Bikers Comfort food recipe) Sorry I just can't get the picture smaller!

and this afternoon I went into the back garden and took this photo of our silver birch trees, the tree in the background is actually in the field next to the house.

The suspense is killing me, Alison

In the corner of our neighbour's garden is a tree completely devoid of leaves and hanging on for dear life is this beautifully formed little nest. I do hope it has occupants again in the spring.

Well the wait is over ! Not a technically or visually exciting photo but the subject is very exciting to me. We have been clearing mums house ready to sell and we came across a pile of wedding acceptance letters. This one is my fathers parents reply to my mothers parents - 1954 !! my HAND ADDRESSED LETTER...
