Warning -Connectivity issues after Windows Update
Lots of people are having connection issues after a Windows update on Tuesday. Silhouette America have issued a work round which involves uninstalling the update but please be aware that this puts your PC at risk as the update is a critical one. “ Windows 10 Connectivity Issue
Cannot Connect to Machine since Windows Update
We have been made aware of recent Windows 10 Operating System update (21H1) that has unfortunately removed the ability to successfully connect to a Silhouette machine.
The only current option to resolve this issue would be to roll back your Operating System to a previous version as follows:
⚠ NOTICE: Please be advised that rolling back will remove security updates that Microsoft have deemed 'critical'. You are at your own risk if you chose to proceed. If you proceed to roll back this update, please ensure that your anti-malware systems are up-to-date and minimize any activity that allows advanced permissions access to your Operating System.
Press the Windows key on your keyboard (between the Ctrl and Alt keys)
Choose Update and Security
Click the Update History link
Click the Uninstall Updates link
Select the 21H1 update - specifically 'KB5004945' and 'KB5003690'
⚠ NOTE: If you unable to uninstall just the KB files, you may need to uninstall the entire 21HI update. In some cases, if this does not resolve the concern, you may also need to uninstall the 20H2 update as well.
Click the Uninstall button that appears on the toolbar
Our software team is working to resolve this concern as quickly as possible. We do not have a specific ETA for when this fix will become available. Please continue to look out for new software updates or set your Silhouette Studio software to automatically check for updates by doing the following:
Open Silhouette Studio
Go to the Edit menu
Select Preferences
Go to the Updates section
Select any option under "Check for Updates" other than "Never"
Click "Apply"
As you see new updated versions available, we encourage you to update your software.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work on a permanent solution.”

Thanks for the warning. Mine hasnt done the update as yet so Ive delayed it. Hopefully Silhouette will find a solution soon.
